    Defender Panhard Rod

I know but the whole thing is a bit rusty…and the cost of a new one is not much more.

    Defender Panhard Rod

That is really helpful, thank you. I take it I should fit the same shape again?

    Defender Panhard Rod

According to Rimmers, Paddocks etc my 2004 Defender 90 RHD should have a straight Panhard Rod but mine has the version with the kink in it. It looks fairly original and I think it will need replacing soon. Has anyone else found this?

    Engine lag

I will try it but the last time I started the engine there was no delay.

    Engine lag

I was thinking all the same things as you. I changed the injector loom at the weekend but it made no difference. It is always worse when it is very cold so I did add glow plugs to the list of possibilities. I too will try the MAF as I have occasionally noticed a lag in power when accelerating.

    Front pinion oil seal

    Engine lag

If the MAF has failed would the car not be sluggish all the time rather than just on start up?

    Engine lag

I did just that today; fitted a new injector harness at the same time. The old one was fine though and there was no oil in the plug or the ECU.

    Engine lag

Thank you. I was thinking that it may be a fuel pump problem but I suppose that would cause problems all the time, not just on a cold start up.

    Engine lag

My Defender 90 TD5 turns over fine, starts right away however there is a lag of 4/5 seconds before the engine picks up to full revs. This only happens when it has been sitting for a while such as first thing in the morning. Has anyone else experienced this or know what the likely cause could be.
