Nah, I mean there are at least 10 lanes we didn't manage to do out of the planned route. So we've got to go back and finish them before we start another:D I'll talk to James in the week and work out what the two groups did and didn't do and sort the next day from there.

Another lane closes in The Peak District

And don't forget Black Harry Lane. Now shown as a Bridalway on Trailwise although, to the best of my knowledge, not actually closed yet. I can find no official info on the current status, nor when the redefinition comes into effect. However, I spoke to the land owners yesterday and as far as...

The annoying thing is that the Chertpit Lane section will remain open! Meaning that you can drive/ride the route from the B6465 to the, so called, picnic site (where the old gateway is and the lane narrows) but then you have to turn round and go back:mad: As it's less than a mile from my door I...

There's still snow but not as much as there was. It's also made some of the lanes a bit icier which could be fun :D Mmmmm lemon drizzle........

Bad news n good news...... Bad, we've had light rain all day! Forecast was snow but instead the rain has taken a fair bit of that away except on the higher ground :( Good, just on me way to pick the Disco up after taking three days to get through the MOT!! Bloody ABS  So roll on Saturday...

I'm easy either way on lunch. I'm more for taking a butty to eat en-route and getting more lanes in but happy to stop for lunch if that's what others want to do. Or, as we will have to split into two groups, we could have a lunch group and a hardcore group :D Only ever use the CB for laning...

Have you earthed the aerial? Or turned the squelch up:D

James, how big a piece do you actually need? I've got several strips of various lengths but only about 300mm wide. If that's wide enough then call here before the Yonderman on Saturday and pick a bit to suit. Got some ally plate that's wider if 300mm not enough. None of these aerial mount...

    Morocco March 2016

Now Tanger Med has become the more popular crossing it can actually be easier and less stressful going via Ceuta, especially on the return leg. At Tanger Med all departing vehicles are often directed through the x-ray machine, causing huge tail backs. I do the crossing 3 or 4 times a year as...

Oh well :( I'll let you know how much fun it wasn't :D Give me a shout if you're up for a play at the weekend if it's still snowing.

If the forecast is right tomorrow should be good fun. I'll probably have to run Kim to the Stables then in to Buxton for work in the morning if the roads are bad, so could drop down the 515 and meet up for a play on some of the lanes round Hartington or Moneyash if you're up for it?

The lane in the consultation is the last one we did on Sunday and is part of the route :clap2: I've been using it for over 30 years and have sent my email in objecting to the change and with evidence of use. It's snowing now:D and settling, where do you want to meet??

    Derbyshire laning

:D Not quite, in fact we will never be more than 10 miles from the start point at the Yonderman. But we will be doing a kind of double figure 8 and criss crossing the same roads a couple of times. I drive a Disco as well and it will fit down all the lanes......just! Although you will need to be...

Mate of mine has a shop in Swinton Motorcycle Clothing & Accessory Shop UK Adventure Bike Warehouse and traffic permitting it takes about an hour from there. Come via the M67, turn right at the end and come via Broadbottom and Charlesworth and over Monks road to the A624. Saves all the traffic...

Bit of a late reply but I had a great day out on Sunday, with James, checking some of the lanes. We did 16 out of the 30 I've planned for the 7th and, weather permitting, I reckon the time it took us bodes well for doing all 30 on the day:) A quick thanks to James for getting me off my backside...

We've got 4-6" in the fields but up to a foot or more where it has settled on some of the sheltered lanes. That's not a problem in it's self but once it has been driven on and then frozen it is bloody lethal! However, with 2 weeks before we play it could all change yet :D

6 is a good group size in the week but on a Saturday or Sunday, depending on the weather, we are likely to be sharing some of the lanes with groups of walkers and horses. You'll also see the sign in the picture on quite a few of the lanes, so no point giving the antis any extra ammo.
