Think if i mind right crank chain turns fip sprocket ,which is connected to the rear chain going to camshaft ,if this middle sprocket has lost grip with pump shaft it will run on gas but the pump wont be pumping at any or ,,correct time,,,Thats if the pump sprocket is a one piece supporting...

On mine the landrover stamped battery was the heavy est and the yuasa one was too small height wise Had to use a small piece of cut & planed & varnished oak skirting board :rolleyes: under the hold down bracket ....:oops:,,,,:D:D........................O and one( cant remember which one) ,the...

Some time ago there was a merc in a shopping carpark with a very expensive looking golf club set on display ,the owner had accidentally pushed the boot open button in his pocket ,when in the store :D:D.o_O

I think my oldham says platinum on it ,anyway, when i bought me p38 it had a landrover stamped battery which died with in months of ownership and was stupid money :eek:, being new to p38 strange ways i changeed it and got locked out ,and after an hour or so of finger nail biting clock...

I red some where you have to wait 20 minutes after disconnecting the negative be four disconnecting the positive or the explosive charge on the battery con go off :eek:....

That would stop it dead and not start ,but check other avenues first ;)
