zf22's just die with any power..the lt77 r380 and espically lt85 are really under rated..i run 450hp though the lt85..used to run a 3.3 6 pot 2 bar boosted lpg injected tdi in front of the lt77 for years..9and they are so slated!!)never any problems except for smoking the clutches...

AEB make them all..not rebadged at all.ie aeb make zavoli, romano etc.. i soo disagree about running vaporiser in series, as restricts heater..but hey one is allowed to have differing opions here..mines ted in and is good to go with 400 yards. re petrol prices..THEY will go up as soon as USA...

the fault you describe is a dodgy diode in the rectifier pack..its soldered in place.. the alternator is a 3 phase AC generator, the diode pack is there to convert the ac to dc that the car wants to see.. if light is glowing replace the alternator..it aint worth repairing as a new/recon one is...

if the engine is up to spec then a 4 or even 2 speed! auto is good..but it does expect to behind a proper engine, not a slow reving pile of £$%..that it was not designed to be mated too..

but they do feck up..as do rocker arms, cam.. etc..

if you asking... then for looks i would go carb, but expensive and will still need setting up/tuning..but if not capable/confident in reading crt diagrams and some elecy fault finding then proberly a better bet.? but if going for mpg and performance then efi.. if you can read a diagram to...
