Remote central locking not working on first press of button.

Might be the internal circuit board on the remote with a dirty connection. Could also be the actuator in the door as been said, had a similar problem with an e36 a few years ago You must be on about a FL1 not a FL2 though, as the battery replacement on a FL2 isn't just an in and out job since...

Using 2 stroke oil in diesel

You need a better remap if it's smoking after a map! The ratio of 2 stroke is meant to be something like 250:1, or 200-250ml per tank, not 50:1 Also meant to use low ash mineral oil, not 2 stroke engine oil, they're very different things

Metal Plating above Rear Exhaust Muffler Loose

It's only rusty fixings, so unlikely to show up on an mot as its not structural or a risk to the integrity of the vehicle. If its only fixings then you should be able to get replacements for under £20 from LR, don't know the part number so can't find a price for you.

Metal Plating above Rear Exhaust Muffler Loose

It's a heat shield, it's a common thing, same thing happened to mine. Needs to be there, so do NOT remove it, especially if you do a lot of distance driving and therefore the exhaust will get very hot... get some new fixings, or, if its still under warranty like mine was, take it to LR and get...

    A frame towing

Remember that a Freelander shouldn't be towed above 40mph or whatever it is when on all 4 wheels, unless drive to rear wheels is disconnected ;)

new to Freelanders and trying to change a few minds about them.

thats what i thought he meant, then realised he meant over 2500 miles filling up full tank to full tank he averaged that mpg only way it'd do 2500 miles to a tank is on the back of a transporter :D
