Stolen drivers side front and passenger doors

I remember you mentioned this before... bloody good idea @lightning - going to explore this when I update the hinge bolts. Cheap and likely very effective at slowing down thieves. Sorry to hear this @Kitten - I can see you've already got some security on the truck (pedal lock, steering lock etc).

Do you keep a fire extinguisher in your Defender?

I had a look inside a parked 110 and noticed a fire extinguisher above the cubby box. It stuck me that this is probably sensible, especially for the low cost (£15-20 for a 1kg Dry Powder) for peace of mind. The "AA Lightweight ABC Dry Powder Fire Extinguisher" even comes with a mounting...

Optimill front door hinge's, worth the money ?

Would the bomb proof door hinge inserts (£30) not be effective at slowing thieves down?

Miktdish on your recommendation I’ve just measured and then purchased the following. High tensile grade 10.9 allen socket button head bolts. Threads are metric coarse (most common). M12 (12mm thread diameter) x 1.75mm pitch ~ 10mm allen key. ISO 7380 Quality. Will keep you posted with how I get on

Roll cage bolt (part number) identification

I'm looking for some replacement socket button screws (ideally in black oxide stainless steel) to replace the tired looking bolts on the roll cage. To save me from taking one out, does anyone with a similar cage, know the bolt size? or better still, the part number? thanks for your help.

What have you done on your 90/110/130 today?

Picked up the truck today after a series of upgrades, and had the joy of washing it ahead of the weekend. Rust treatment and wax oil application New door rubbers (bottom of the freshly welded doors) Refurbished alloys with body colour paint What is causing me all sorts of frustration is my...

That is a very good idea. I've got my mine wrapped in an old cloth... but I could strap them down. Good call.

Can anyone help identify this colour?

Apologies for the double thread, but I'm trying to trace the exact colour code (blue/grey): https://www.landyzone.co.uk/land-rover/part-numbers-and-paint-colours.138302/reply?quote=5414817 The paint shop (working on the wheels today) have said it's probably not: Bonatti Grey. I've been...

Securing the Door lock button surround -

Right; just took it apart and it looks like a bit of plastic has snapped off. The whole unit appears flush, but then moves when I open the lock. I’ll order a new part and see if this remedies it. Thanks for the response.

Securing the Door lock button surround -

I’m continuing to have trouble securing the door lock button surround. I’ve managed to fit the button into the holder, but the overall surround is still loose and comes off in my hand. is there another clip on the outside surround which has broken off ? or should I apply some adhesive?

What have you done on your 90/110/130 today?

Finally managed to fit LED lights into the dash last night (after struggling with my wife’s tweezers to get the speedo bulbs in). Lots of swearing, but looks good. I’m regretting adding an LED bulb to the interior light. It’s just too white/bright compared to the original orange/warm glow. I’ll...

What have you done on your 90/110/130 today?

Interesting. I had thought of putting the pressure washer nozzle in there (but was worried I might damage the electrics). I'll give this a go.
