I need some help please....stuck on holiday

Well, it seems likely, yes. I think there is a white grease you can get, purely for electrical connections, that waterproofs but doesn't interfere with the electrical signal. Will see how we go. Have a few more days in sunny Cornwall. Thnaks. Thanks

I need some help please....stuck on holiday

Hi. Near Penzance. I've just been underneath. Cable looks good. I managed to loosen the electrical block connector, and refasten it again, and has cleared the fault. So, I guess, it's either the block connector, or the wiring to the connector. We did go through some big puddles yesterday.

Thanks. Tried running the lever up and down...didn't help. Block connector has come away from clip, as clip is broken. It's cabletied up in place. I did think water getting into the block connector could cause the issue, but contacts look clean. I will check the cable bracket etc from the gear...

I need some help please....stuck on holiday

Hi all. Not posted for a while, as all has been well with my D2. Currently on holiday in Cornwall with our caravan. Before we left I replaced the xyz switch due to water getting in the switch and making the MandS lights flash. All has been well since, towed down faultlessly and has been good...

Disco 2 Heated rear window and mirrors....help!

Definitely! Electrics aren't my strong point, but turned out to be an easy fix by swapping the fuse box over. Bit fiddly, but only took 30mins. Thanks again.

Disco 2 Heated rear window and mirrors....help!

Ok. Fuse box fitted, and it's worked! Thanks sierrafery for the help! The relay in the old fuse box had quite a loud click, where as the new one is quieter, so maybe that's a sign if anyone else is having the same issue.

Disco 2 Heated rear window and mirrors....help!

Just a quick update, in case anyone is wondering, the fuse box I ordered seems to have been lost in the post somewhere. It should have arrived last Tuesday! I will post an update again when I finally manage to get one fitted, to say if it has cured the fault or not.

Disco 2 Heated rear window and mirrors....help!

I'm downloading Rave onto my laptop now. I have managed to find a good 2nd hand fuse box, which should arrive tomorrow. Will swap them over, as per your instructions sierrafery, when I get chance, to see if that works. Thanks again.

Disco 2 Heated rear window and mirrors....help!

Thanks. I checked power at the heated rear window. Nothing. Neither mirror is getting warm. I did think the relay may be hard to locate or get at. There is a definite click from the relay when switching on the heated rear window. It just suddenly decided to stop working! I haven't got Rave, but...

Disco 2 Heated rear window and mirrors....help!

Hi all. Having an issue with the heated rear window and mirrors on my D2. Basically there is no power going to them. Fuse is fine and there is power at the fuse, I can hear a relay clicking when I push the switch for the heated rear window, but can't locate it behind the dash? The wires running...

Disco 2 Impossible to detect clunk/crack?

Someone has said to me that this could be the UJ's on the propshaft. Apparently they can make a ping/crack under strain when the bearings are worn. Anyone experienced this?

Disco 2 Impossible to detect clunk/crack?

Thankyou. Did rear drop links a little while back...had to get the angle grinder out for those! I will order a set and go from there. They look like they've been on there a while. Odd I get nothing on the road, but I guess it's just the extra strain on them when off road that's making it...

Disco 2 Impossible to detect clunk/crack?

Baffled by this. All seems well under my Disco 2. All bushes etc seem in good order. Recent MOT with no advisories, and on the road runs and drives perfectly. However, went off road yesterday and I'm getting an occasional clunk/crack, which appears to be coming from the front end of the Landy...
