    Why the Driver's Door ?

I have seen several posts where people recommend putting an engine crane through the driver's side to move the gearbox when doing a clutch change . Surely it'd be better to put it through the passenger side where the steering wheel won't be in the way ?

    Shock Revelation !

A question that pops up on Land Rover forums from time to time is "which shocks give the most comfortable ride on a Defender used mainly on the road ?" Well I have the answer . The cheapest ones ! This is because shocks on a Defender have little or nothing to do with ride quality , or indeed...

Help ! How Do I Refit My Dash Panel ?

Something like that ! Anyway , I figured it out . The panel is way more flexible than I realised , so after I slipped it over the flap controls I stretched , twisted , forced it over the edge and into place . Brute force tempered with caution , basically .

Help ! How Do I Refit My Dash Panel ?

The procedure didn't seem complicated enough to take photographs . The last thing I removed was the vent panel , but I got that out in the absence of the demister tube and with a horrid amount of bending and twisting . ( The panel , not me ) .

Help ! How Do I Refit My Dash Panel ?

I haven't removed the flap control screws or anything under the dash tray . To remove the dash tray to get at the lower dash bolts I would have to remove the demister tubes , if I then managed to get the vented panel back in I would have no access to replace the tubes . If I'm seeing it right .

300tdi Defender vent cowling removal question .

Ok , so here's what happened . I was asking a question about something which I then figured out the answer to so I tried to delete the post altogether but couldn't see how to do that so I just erased the question . At which point I must have touched the asterisk .. I do need help with replacing...

Help ! How Do I Refit My Dash Panel ?

Hi , I removed the top and front part of my 1995 300tdi dash panel to replace the wiper wheel boxes . I was reluctant to remove the vented part of the dash but it was impossible to access the air duct screws without doing so . Can someone please tell me how to replace it ? Thanks ..

Power Steering Box Advice Needed .

So I pulled the drop arm off and checked the splines on the shaft and arm . All looked good . Then I measured the diameter of the new arm at the top and bottom with a vernier caliper and compared it to the old one . Measurements were identical . The only difference in the splines was the old...
