Tappit rattling usually goes away once the engine has warmed up ie about 4 miles at 30 - 40 mph. If you’re doing this static it’ll take quite a while to get the core of the engine at temperature. As posted if it ain’t broke.

Just buy a normal tent FFS and enjoy.

X1 the nuts are nylon. The important thing is to torque them correctly. It’s very easy to over torque and strip the thread, which at that point in the job is a bummer, back to square one.

Welcome. A snatch landy is a bit of a hybrid beastie, HD suspension, V8 engine and then all the armour plating. Why do you want a vehicle like that? Penman Engineering in Dumfries used to make them but they closed down a few years ago.

YRM Solutions sell the little cleats that you need to rivet to the rear and sides. If you don’t have a manual, watch the You tube video from Exmoor Trim on fitting: its a full tilt but useful sequence.

YRM Solutions sell them, good quality steel with the fixing bolts. They also supply an angled plate to fix it to the underside of the wings. I like that. I've just taken off my hard top safari to change to a canvas tilt for the summer and intend to refurb it when it's at a proper height. I might just consider using roller enamel as it's straightforward and I've got no spraying equipment.
