At the recent Scottish Land Rover show I could not believe how many stalls there were selling LED Bling for defenders! I went as far as putting halogens headlights on my 90 but that was mainly so I could see where I was going! LED's not my thing! I like to keep it as simple as possible.

By using the term "upper' it sounds like they are referring to the bush at the top of the shock absorber. I would ask them to clarify unless that bush is totally and obviously shot! Not easy to see though up the turret!

I have next week off, so plan is to take the rear body off, pressure wash/wirebrush the chassis and generally clean and tidy it all up. Will check again that there is no play when the body is off and replace the seal only if so.

I would always give the brakes a once over before worrying about whether it can go! By the look of it it could have some well corroded brake lines and possibly seized wheel cylinders. With single circuit brakes one leak and your not stopping! Love the careworn look though as long as it's sound...
