    2002. P38 4l thor/motronic. ABS, TC lamps

Downloaded every page and read them. I've also had the relevant pages attached by black box to their technical help line. I was hoping that someone more experienced and expert than me could see something I couldn't. They do exhaustively cover nanocoms functions and capabilities. That's patent...

    2002. P38 4l thor/motronic. ABS, TC lamps

Can I just add? I ditched all my hawkeye stuff after praises for the nanocom were sung around here. On reflection, I had an incessent problem with my EAS. I could clear faults with hawkeye in the eas ecu but the dash lamp never went out until i went into the becm page and cleared the logged...

    2002. P38 4l thor/motronic. ABS, TC lamps

New battery on last evening. Bonnet up. 12.26v. tickover and 2000rpm 14.30v all on the same. As far as becm sleeping, I guess it must as I can leave it up to 5 or 6 days And it still fires up. As far as difinitive testing procedures are concerned, I'm in my infancy. I am capable of working to...

    2002. P38 4l thor/motronic. ABS, TC lamps

Thanks, and thanks again. Put new battery on. Had to put it on and leave it. Nothing changed. I will check voltages in the morning. Please don't go away. Got another month here. Contemplating knocking it on the head till I get home. (Is that a safe option?) Regards p.

    2002. P38 4l thor/motronic. ABS, TC lamps

On the motronic page, nanocom I'm getting Pxxxx=permanent voltage supply fault drive cycle A. Occurred 1 times. Signal too low Fault is not currently present. This is the only fault I'm getting anywhere. P

    2002. P38 4l thor/motronic. ABS, TC lamps

11.48v all off, 14.26v tickover, 14.06v all on tickover, 14.03v all on 2000rpm. That's with my "spare" alternator. I posted the voltages with my new alternator on page 1. The TC lamp is still going out ! Dare I drive it round the block? Could the change of battery have wiped out a residual...

    2002. P38 4l thor/motronic. ABS, TC lamps

I can't pretend to go any way to understanding the questions without much more learning. I can only add that iveI changed alternators with the same outcomes. The TC lamp is still going out. I'm reluctant to drive it in case it stays on. Whilst it's out ,in my tiny mind, I thought there may be...

    2002. P38 4l thor/motronic. ABS, TC lamps

Carsvan battery wouldn't physically fit so i disconnected the connectors and put jump leads onto the connectors not the car battery. Connected the caravan battery still abs TC lamps on. When I reconnected the car battery the TC lamp went out. We're an hour in front of you but it's still too...

    2002. P38 4l thor/motronic. ABS, TC lamps

This is me all over! I must've done something terrible in a previous life. Because of being high and dry on previous trips, belt and braces, I put a new battery in the car and the caravan. Guess what. A duff battery. Where to get one here......................... I'll report back. Thanks. .

I'm beginning to agree with you. 11.something after a short standing. Would you believe I carry a spare alternator. That whined. I'll switch batteries later. Thanks again.

System. (My thumbs are too clumsy for this moby). Also I went round all the axle nuts which are tight. Thanks for the prompt response. I am hoping that someone will join in with more ideas.

    2002. P38 4l thor/motronic. ABS, TC lamps

Hello again. I'm seriously stuck with this one. I've carried out every task advised on this thread, thanks all. In addition I've renewed the abs pump. Still, nanocom shows no faults for WABCO. Am I correct in the belief that the alternator deals exclusively and independently with charging? Or...

Spoke too soon. Drove a few yards, identical fault. Nanocom still says no faults . Ummmm.

    2002. P38 4l thor/motronic. ABS, TC lamps

That's good enough for me. Thanks for that encouraging post . As luck would have it, having been high and dry in the past I've brought all manner of spares with me. I've got an abs ECU. Guess where it is. Not here and no-one can find it in my heap. So I've had to order another, which I did last...

So it's front sensors fly leads, then. You've given me serious thought, input and consideration. That's all anyone can ask. I'll post the outcome when it's cracked. Best regards all. P.

I got my readings from a nanocom print out. Driving slower than it breaks communication.however, I'll carry out the basic test you suggest and thanks.

    2002. P38 4l thor/motronic. ABS, TC lamps

Well, I mentioned that id changed all the sensors. What I omitted to say was I'd already got front sensors from island with spares. All logic's funny when you know Diddly. I thought there were three switches in the unit with one doing naught but saying lamps on or off. Thanks. Please keep trying...
