TD5 lack of power under load.

Injector seals are funny ones and you never really know until you take them out. However, this doesn't sound like your performance issue. Can you describe this noise a bit more?

Td5 losing puff or is it me?

Yeah these engines do need a bit more revving before gear changes, otherwise they drop into the rubbish zone and feel like slugs. Even worse with bigger tyres on

    Disco 1 wheel arch extentions

    15x10j ET-32 sticks out about 2 inches on a D1. On a D2 its about 3 inches

    Disco 1 wheel arch extentions

Measure the face on the inside of the wheel to the rim edge and then subtract 4 inches, that will be your offset (101.6mm = 4")

Are you looking for the sort you cut out and then stick extended arches on?

    Disco 2 ABS Sensor

Try taking the lead plug off first and checking the contacts aren't crappy. I had this on ALL my sensors. All I did was take the connector apart and clean the contacts up and they've never came back now.

    Disco 2 Middlish clunkybangs?

Check the ACE ram bushes on both ends of the ram if you've already done the ARB bushes

Disco 2 TD5 fuel issues / starting issues fix

I did read it, you left out the part where it starts up if left less than an hour, you made it sound like it wouldn't start at all after turning off. And yes, fuel would be an issue, hence the crank position sensor which controls when the ECU fires the injectors. It's something to think about...

Disco 2 TD5 fuel issues / starting issues fix

I hear you say that once it's started, it runs great, but when you turn it off, it doesn't want to start again. But does it rev up and pull well? I'm just curious as maybe it's not a fuel issue and maybe its a compression issue? Have you tried starting with a small amount of easy start etc...

Disco 2 Ordered a very rare suspension bush

Very expensive too, about £30.... Mine has gone too, front ARB at the front of the vehicle end I assume?

No guts won't rev over 2500 rpm Discovery TD5

The noise you describe sounds a bit like bearing whine to me. Take the aux belt off and run it for about 20 seconds (don't do it with the engine hot as the water pump won't be working). If the noise it gone, it's something thats driven from the aux belt. Check the bearings on all the belt...

    LT230 Transferbox Speedo

Hi Guys, I've fit an older Defender box with the square drive speedo output (which I think takes the speeometer transducer). Except this is in a Discovery 2 which doesn't need it. Does anyone happen to know if I can just blank it over with some tiger seal, or does it require the speedo...

    Discovery 2 pre-facelift wipers

Would appear that yes, it uses a park switch. If this is knackered, I would expect the symptoms your seeing.

    Discovery 2 pre-facelift wipers

If I remember correctly, most wipe motors once they are off their home position, internally hold the power on until they return to the home position. Which is why this scenario usually only happens when you turn the vehicle off and remove the key. I think you may find the internal contact that...

Starting issues - (have searched forum)

Changed the fuel filter recently? You may think its tight enough, but sometimes they're not. Could also be breaking down. Also cracking the injector union and checking for fuel is a good thing to do too

Disco 2 Help - How to replace an Alternator

I would also like to mention that checking the earth connection on the alternator mount for contamination and tightness is also a good idea (reached from underneath). Also check the live connections as these are very common fault areas for the symptoms your describing.
