    Get a really early 110 you'll have 3 years to get it done up and then it should be tax/mot exempt.......get one now cos I bet the prices will only be going up to stupid heights.

    Have you got a steering damper? The first thing I'd check is the track rod ends, there's 6 of them so a little play in one can lead to big free play. You can also check the steering box by moving the steering wheel side to side and watch the rod that's attached to the steering box, you should...

    I guess its non servo so is the switch above the brake pedal? Give it a blast with electrical cleaner.

    Yes you will need a relay, google it loads of ideas out there. It doesn't need to be a heavy duty relay though if you only want to keep the battery topped up and not run winches, lights fridges etc from it. I don't know about the change from 12-24v ...............somebody does though, googles...

    As a matter of interest does the vin say its a 2.5n/a? Civvy's were 200tdi of that year and thats shown on the vin.

    It should be 10 splines at the diff. but the drive end you can check by taking off the FWH.

    Could you set up a 12v leisure battery to use for the starter and heater plugs......the stop solenoid won't take much juice from it as its running. I just converted an ldv convoy to a camper but I used a banana engine, you're lucky having the BL gearbox, a Tdi would be nice.
