    Help Identifying old Defender

My series 2 looked just like that..... Without the lights in the wing though, probably done at the same time as the side repeater. Some pics of the interior would help.

    Help Identifying old Defender

    Why do think it's a 2a and not a series 2?

    Putting an lt77 into a 109.

I am using the lt77 and transfer box together, not using a series transfer box. Its the fitting of the box into the chassis and what props I need that I'm looking for.....all the other bits I can work round.

    Putting an lt77 into a 109.

I've got the option of putting an lt77 into my ex-mil 109 with a 2.5n/a. I've had a search but could do with straight answers to a couple of questions. 1- I've got the engine fitted on new mounts and mated to a series gearbox at the moment (all in a working vehicle) so if I put the lt77...

Can you adjust steering wheel height?

There will be a small bit of movement if you loosen all the fixings on the steering box and the bracket that holds the shaft through the bulkhead, it might be enough to fill that gap.......on mine though the gaps filled with a bit of foam rubber.

Series 3 Vent Flap Panel Rot

Yes well when I said if it was mine I'd mig repairs in what I'd actually do is use 2 part metal repair epoxy......;). But then I'm not too precious about it.

Series 3 Vent Flap Panel Rot

Don't even think about taking out the bulkhead its a huge job and will lead grinding off bolts and even more repairs. Your's doesn't actually look that bad I'd get a cheap panel from Paddocks and cut out the bits you need from it rather than chopping the whole bulkhead about.
  19. R

Series 3 Vent Flap Panel Rot

If it were mine I'd cut loads of small bits and mig weld them on, you don't need to remove the bulkhead if the rots only on the outside. An arc welder on that will just cut holes in it.
