I had to remove the main bolts in the two rear ones to get enough room to get it in and out it’s a right bugger to do wouldn’t like to try it without doing it,you will top your swear jar up.
No problem, nope sorry other than they are cr&p,I replaced the rear window mechanism as the wire had snapped but nothing in regards to locks/locking,I’m sure there will be some information on here somewhere though.
No 2 min job just a bit awkward to get back in,well that one was.Look right up and it’s next to your brake peddle you will see the harness coming off it and it was quarter of a turn and it comes out.Thats the modified one (the pic)completely different connection might be worth double checking in...
It was on a flash deal and didn’t come with the harness,The standard one I just fitted today on my father in laws was
Which seems to have sorted the problem but it’s sorn at the moment so can’t take it on a full drive.
That made me laugh even though it shouldn’t been a dog person, but yeah seems to click and lock in place alright there should be some brackets/tabs on the bottom as well but mine never came with them I will just keep a lookout for flying spaniels.
Painted and fitted the dog guard behind the rear seats, have to make some brackets for the rear window one, fitted the soft top and found the side finishers are missing so ordered some new ones and a red key.
Could it be a bad speed sensor? had that problem on my Audi where sometimes it wouldn’t change up from 3rd to 4th that started off doing it randomly until it got gradually worse.
Thanks for that,I came to the conclusion that a little bit of knowledge is dangerous and have paid someone to do it.I would rather pay the £120 quid, the pumps and thermostat haven’t long been replaced, but he is changing the belt because of the oil getting on it.
I tried buying another for parts/braking but ended up fixing it/getting it fixed (some parts I didn’t feel comfortable doing)I have just gave it to my father in law as he took a shining to it.
The undertrays are cheap enough and plentiful.
I think I read somewhere on here the facelift has some more fixings around the bumper area, don’t know if it would be a problem getting one off a pre facelift to fit as I have never taken mine off yet as someone decided to cut a hole in it for oil changes.
I’ll give that a miss thanks :p I begrudge paying prices over here.especially with the government using so called global warming as an excuse to Increase........wait there I’m going off topic onto something I know sod all about better get back in my bubble
Been a while since I done anything on the silver on but a few parts turned up, got a ebay bargain I got a rear dog guard for 1p,soft top roof which needs a bit of tlc but is all there and some ally sheet for the sump guard.Should be a busy weekend.
Oh well that explains that then :) but I would have thought if prices were high for such basic things as oil filters it would bring the price of the vehicle down? As people might not want to spend so much on an older car and just buy a newer one, even with the fix it attitude there must be a...
