Thanks. I’m putting in to the bottom ones as the o r up abuts a lip on the rear which means the nut isn’t flush.

Thanks. They look behind but actually are to the side and front of the tow plate. It it was the wrong way around the step would be under the cross member! :)

After two days of trying to remove the tow bar bolts to fit a step (bolts were so rusted), it turns out the step doesn’t fit properly as the metal rings either side of the towing plate get in the way! I am trying to find a drop plate as simple as possible to fit it but to but struggling to find...

Well done. I’m looking to put my heater box back in as the previous owner removed it. Think it might be harder than a like for like replacement as I have nothing to go on but will let you know.

Yes it has had a couple of colours. DVLA says beige but there is definitely some blue in one of the coats. Will give it some time before deciding what to do with paint choice. not quite desert storm!

The chassis has been wax oiled in the past so I will look at something similar although have seen a few different methods discuss on here. the seller had a box of seals and threw them in so will be changing those. Otherwise don’t want to spend time and money needlessly changing things. It is...

Seems that way. Has been starting and driving fine. Need to put some protection underneath to stop mud flying all over the chassis and change window seals. Thinking of mud guards and protectors. have noticed a small hole under the passenger seat which I am sure will need a patch soon...

New journey with a 90 200tdi

Hi all. Well I found one and I am now a happy 90 owner. 1987 200tdi conversion. Properly maintain and an excellent chassis. Few things to fiddle with but otherwise I think a good find. got big meaty off road tyres which I suspect I will change for standard ones. Very pleased.

Thanks. Will do. Currently debating over a couple of 200tdi 90s (one being a conversion from the 2.5 to 200tdi). Just can’t believe what I might spend for a 30 year old vehicle!
