Another update. He says it's still performing as it should. He's had the passenger side kick panel off and there is quite a bit of green on the white block terminals. He's cleaned them up for now and says everything is still good.

None there either unfortunately. Now I've confirmed she'll run with it unplugged I'll cut the wires an inch or so down stream from the injector and retest what's left.

Searching, on here, has shown 2 bosch part numbers, early(pre egr) and late with egr. White plug for early, dark brown/black for later. Mines 2001 with egr and has the black plug. Bosch part number for the later one is 0 432 217 279. Prices vary from £240 odd iirc and £400 odd, most are around...

Managed(well, the wife did) to unplug the connector to number 4 injector after I removed the inlet ducting only, manifold left in place. DMM is reading open circuit when I probe the two terminals. Clarification that it's deffo dead? No damage to the cable at all.

Oh, it's nice and dry around the injector gubbins on number 4.

Yeah, I was just clutching at straws I think, lamp has never come on in the 2 or is it 3 years I've had it, but did after that quite impressive down pour last Saturday.

Started up instantly just now but idle not as smooth. I can only just see the connector but can't get a hand to it. Looks like inlet manifold off to access which I'm not sure I can manage just now. Slathered in deep heat at the mo which helps

This is the lamp that's constantly on. I have no lamp that looks like an injector at all during ign on and bulb test. If I should have one (2001) maybe a bulb has blown.

The pics above are the readings with the engine running, nothing from the injector, crank is, I presume, Crank position sensor which is giving a reading. I don't recall exactly but I did blip the throttle and the revs acted like a sticky throttle cable or a missing return spring on a carb, ie-...

According to the nano, there is no 'feed back' from the needle sensor at all, looking at the pics above ^^^ Should the engine still run cos it does, and quite well too. Although idle is not as smooth as it was.

Don't know yet. Put my back out brushing my teeth last night. Sounds funny but it's true, muscles gone into spasm, happens every now and then doing things that really shouldn't cause this. Last time I was just squeezing a tea bag out! Experience tells me I'm stuffed for anything between 1 and 4...

The wires are not trapped BUT I was driving through a severe rain storm last time it was used(last saturday), lots of surface water and spray about, no under tray fitted. Maybe the electrics around that area got a soaking.

He's rung me up and says no sagging overnight so refitted the eas relay and its performing as it should now! He's going to check those electrical connections though.

So the dreaded 4th injector is dead? I'll check connections first though. Is there a way to verify the injector? Got a dmm :vb-lol:

I've just ordered a hard case plastic waterproof box off ebay that it should sit in snugly. Much smaller than the box it came in but that had to hold the chunky obd cable and stuff. The cable will be safe in the glove box, can't see anyone nicking that and I should be able to hide the nano...
