OK - suitably told off for my use of the T word. Fuel filter was very restricted so have changed that and my little "T" now starts but will not rev above 3500 rpm. Can now hear wheel arch pump run, still a bit intermittently, and fuel is flowing. Now think it must be the main in tank pump... Chris.

Thanks for the advice guys - since been out to the truck and can now hear the wheel arch pump run intermittently and the truck will now start!!!!! So kind of rules out electrical supply problems to me, so knackered pump or blocked filter? Chris.

Yeap, done it, bit of a bitch but didn't follow procedure in RAVE cd. Seem to remember engine mounts didn't come out, but did release engine from mount(one side only)! I did mine from underneath - seem to remember jacking engine up to get at one bolt, the lowering engine to get an next bolt...

I possibly had a similar problem, parked up, got back to car and the starter was dead! All other electrics seemed to work, not even a click when the key turned to start! Towed home, left it for a day or two until I had time to play and the bloody thing started first time! Got a bit of advice...

Mine is a 2002 model and the inline fuel filter lives in the RH rear wheel arch. It proved a bit of a bitch to fine and chancing it the first time was "interesting". Have fun! Chris.

Well thanks for your advice gentlemen. Read up as much as I could about the start and immobilization system off the RAVE cd last night, armed with this knowledge, your advice, a multimeter and a big stick hidden behind my back just in case - I gentle turned the key listening for starter relays...

Exactly the same problem has happened to me! My normally very reliable Td4, just doesn't want to know. Turn key and it is dead! All other electrics look good! Recovery man suggested disconnecting the battery for half an hour or so - is this worth a try? Any pointers would be very gratefully...
