I have spoken to the landrover garage and they believe it's the fuel pump not working properly. It's booked in on Thursday for a proper diagnosis. Do you agree this could be the cause of lack of power mid/high revs in each gear even when gently pushing the accelerator?

Would this work for a td5 defender?

Yeah that's my next step. Will be booking into the experts. I just find it fun trying to work out issues myself. But diagnostics in this instance is definitely my next step.

Egr has been blanked correctly. This is my 3rd one so all good. @huffhuff any chance I can take you up on the offer of trying the MAP? means I can rule this out if all is good.

I'm going to clean the MAF and MAP. I read conflicting articles. What would you recommend to clean both? Will electrical contact cleaner from Halfords or maplin do the trick for both?

Ah ok I'll check these parts out. As speaking to a friend when he gave it a drive believes it's not over boosting as the lr feels normal , and won't clear even if you lift off a bit.

Thanks yes installing a boost gauge is definatly a good shout. I reckon the guage will show boost then suddenly lack of. To lower the boost would that just mean adjusting the waste gate? Thanks
