    P38A Radius arm bush play

Most Land Rover garages will press these in cheaply as there also on the defender.last ones I had done were £20 Inc bush.

    engine oil

Yes ticks all the boxes. All bar catalytic converter life. Zddp isn't so great with them but that's the reason normal oils are not using zddp.

    engine oil

It's actually a bit more involved than that for instance the 3.5 had a stat in the normal place( in a bulbous thing) the p38 heart valve mixes hot and cold so potentially freezing cold water never goes on hot engine parts. The p38 still has the bulbous thing but it's empty. It runs at 100...

    engine oil

Mann are my favourite filters. Oil won't cure engine issues but if it's in pretty good fettle penrite hpr 10/50 is grand and not to pricey. 20/50 Dino oil I would steer clear of the p38 runs to hot for this stuff( black death). Land Rover recommend 10/40 btw but they weren't that bothered! 5/30...

P38A Yet another P38 (99 4.6) getting hot under the collar....

Gems or Thor? I think you need to go through the renewing a few bits Stage before delving any deeper. Thermostat needs to be OEM not cheap crap. If your receipt is for £15 or so it's cheap. 60. + it's a good un. The hoses are under a bit of pressure and can blow off so change these. I'm...

Newbie needing help with p38 overheating !

Datatek mod is for dieselbtw I'm still convinced you have another issue. The cooling on these dispite what folk say is plenty enough. Swap the heart valve thermostat for a new one( must be original maker though) don't be tempted to buy the cheap one!

    P38A Also got's me some ticking :-(

Can I recommend pennrite hpr 10/50. During the hot weather it has held up really well. Hot weather can cook cheap oil in v8s .it's a bit thicker when warm but still 10 weight for starting . It's also fully synthetic so tends to retain it's viscosity under stress. High zinc for the cam loves to...

Oh for a Moggy 1000 with an"A" series engine

Cedar would be to soft and damage easily. Oak or sweet Chestnut would be better. But sapele or idigbo would also work.but they used ash so ash is the thing they use. There's a treated pine called accoya that could be used. But it doesn't look great( sort of grey)

My favourite bit as a child was the indicator stalk that flashed green! The hole in the floor was a close second though!

    P38A Gearbox Additive

Although Lucas tranny fix is recommended I would suggest adding nothing is a viable alternative! Change the oil on it's own a few times even.

Oh for a Moggy 1000 with an"A" series engine

My dad had a lateish one for 13 years and it was used when he brought it! It was f plated so about 68 69. A really great car he was so enamoured with the Morris badge after this he "treated" himself to a marina! From the best to the worst overnight.

    P38A Autobiography Interior Pieces.

I reckon there value is £150-200 for all of it. I saw one that had a full drinks cabinet in the picnic table space complete with Crystal. It was at Charles place when he was in nantwich. He used to sell autobiog stuff at stupid prices as well! Kent cam mustang injector even a tornado chip but...

    P38A Autobiography Interior Pieces.

Not sure about the picnic tables but everything else is bolt on. Hugely overpriced though. Often there thrown in on £500 cars though! Rip off dealers try to charge a fortune. My advice is don't bother .They don't even match colourwise.
