    Central Locking broke

+1. Low voltage throws up all sorts of gremlins. Rangeys like a big healthy battery. Even if it hasn't gone flat before, worth checking the condition and sorting before winter.

    Central Locking broke

How did you let yourself in with the key? Did you use the eka code? You'll need to follow the handbook instruction to re-mobilise. Check the state of your battery as well.

    Britpart

Put a britpart rad in my 4.6 early summer (after seeking advice on here) and also top rad hose. Been fine so far (only a few months I know, but done about 5000 miles) with a noticeable improvement in temp (no more fluctuations even in scorchio weather and sitting in traffic). Top hose was fine...

    cut out

Could be temp sensor if cutting out when engine gets hot. I'd get it on some proper diagnostics otherwise it could be an expensive guessing game.

    FIP gasket

If you're following instructions from Rave they tell you to disconnect the battery for just about everything; and probably for changing the wiper blades.;)

    cut out

Check the obvious first, i.e. cables from battery, especially earth strap; but yes diagnostics good idea. Good luck with it, let us know how you get on.

Have I got your Range Rover??

Just back from my London work runs, all fully loaded with my tools. Nearly got taken out by a fat bloke in an ejoke who didn't think looking to his right before pulling out was good driving practice. Just passed the 165000 miles, so maybe the engine is now run in which is why its driving so...

    what am i missing?

Did you have a good quality replacement waterpump fitted; ie with a metal impeller? Lots have plastic. I fitted a britpart one (Iknow, I know) a few years back and it lasted about 6 months before part of the plastic broke off.

Have I got your Range Rover??

Been a long summer of driving; done just over 4000 miles since start of July what with holidays and work, all of it in the Rangey. But something has got me very confused - throughout all those miles the 4.6 p38 performed faultlessly!! And I mean no problems at all ( not even little ones). No...
