Will see about getting some bits off them Breaks my heart to scrap them

OK nobody seems interested so I will scrap them, after stripping the eas pumps and valve blocks as they will fit in the one working one

I agree with all the above but. Why does she drop from standard to access no problem but slowly from wade to standard? Does the exhaust from wade go a different route? I thought all exhausts went through the dryer to dry the drier?

I considered putting lpg on the GEMS to pass emissions but is a bit of a gamble and lpg not available round here

Probably wrong place but more used to posting here. I have 3 x P38s which are about to be scrapped due to ill health and lack of time 1. 1995 4.6 208k was my daily driver until ill health put her off the road for a bit an she then failed MOT on emissions. Apparently needs a new engine. 2...

How old does it have to be to not need an MOT?

Thank you for all your replies. I am thinking of changing cos the GEMS is knackered and quoted approx 6k to replace with recon unit. 2. I may be able to get a donor vehicle with a THOR engine. 3. Seems a great pity to scrap a pretty good P38 but 6k is a lot of money 4 Even with a recon engine...

How easy is it to take out a 4.6 GEMS for a 4.6 THOR?

I have a P38 and seriously considering an L322 (2003) Is the EAS valve block the same in both models?

I dont think is head gasket, more likely I think to be burnt valve. Decided to keep engine and rebuild engine myself. Will keep me occupied for a while but no rush.
