If It is the freelander 1, you had certaintly removed the inlet manifold for changing the plugs. Check the sensors that you had unpluged. No starting, … some hints may help, like does it crank …

Hi, Does it's try to start with brake cleaner ? If there no fuel leak, so can be a dying injector or the hp fuel pump. If there is no fuel leaks anywhere, and no greasy fuel pipe, so injectors fuel return flow test need to be done.

If the car has different tires with uneven wear or the VCU is too stiff the IRD is more likely to fail than because of an oil issue. Check you have 4 tires all the same. If the VCU is to stiff, VCU bearing and universal joints should break before the IRD, and the read Diff.

You need to remove fill plug before the drain plug if you don't want to get stuck with an empty IRD. You can easily find a compatible oil for the IRD compared to the TD4 gearbox. Regards

Hi, There is no way to know if the oil was changed. when the clutch was done. You can do the clutch without removing the IRD ... so you don't need to renew the IRD oil. Regards
