Tested the stat definitly open at around 88 degrees. Flushed out the return from the heater matrix.to thermostat housing and didn't see any crap come out then refilled and re bled the system. now my heater seems to be working much better seem to be getting nice everwarm airywhere. Thanks...

Stat is 88 degree but going to test it in water now. Pulled the return hose of the heater and it is pumping water but not at a mad rate how much water should be pumped through? It's no trickling out but it's certainly not shooting accross the engine bay lol

Will ring tomorrow where I bought my stat from and see what they likely have sold me and I'll see if they can get me the one your reccomend

Thanks again everyone for the help Going to check my water pump next for leaks then remove the feed pipe to the heater when running and see how much water it's pumping. If all else fails I'll replace the water pump and reflush the coolant again, including washing the feed and return pipes on...

How would I check/test for a blockage or is it worth just changing the water pump to start for all the price it? Is there an in and out pipe on the matrix or does it not matter which way it is plumbed in? Thanks again for the help

I've just fitted fitted a new matrix so can't be that! I agree I think there is air leaking around the dash but even if I remove the passenger side bottom plastic air vent and look in I can see the matrix clearly but the air is still only luke ish. Was playing with it earlier there and noticed...

Heater controls are definitely working. Will give bleeding it a go what size self beed valve do I need? Do I need to bled the matrix separately aswell or will it be bad at the same time?

Yea flap definitely adjusted and cooland full. Not sure about an air lock how would I check/ bleed it?
