    Evoque

Some of the stories there are just downright horrible..... catastrophic engine failures at such low miles on a lot of them. It's one thing if vehicles have poor fit and finishing on the interior, unreliable electrics or something of the sort, but weak engines is totally a deal breaker.

    m57 conversion in 90

If that M57 is sitting in a complete vehicle, then you're already halfway there in terms of moving wiring looms, ECUs and electrics in general. With regards to mating the transfer case, you have the option of machining an adaptor plate and intermediate shaft to allow you to bolt up the transfer...

Nice!!! A V6 in something that small and light - must have been a rocket in the straights

    Flat Bed Disco 2 Project

The taillights actually look quite alright.... this thread is shaping up to be my own "project pinky" - the excitement levels for seeing a notification that there has been an update is on the same level as that.

    Bone's V8 Disco 2 Build Log

Looks like you have all your plastic trim back in place - are you running it without headlining, or are you doing some work to that as well?

    Think the roof is original?

You could sell this to me saying it came out of Solihull like that and I'd believe you....absolutely stunning work

    Replacement Engine Advice Help Needed

My vote is for the 200Tdi as well. Head gasket is easy enough to do, and if it turns out the cylinder head has had it, a sourcing a replacement would most likely be more cost effective than transplanting an entirely new engine. As others have said, they are quite a sturdy reliable engine - mine...

Defender 90 Unusual front light lenses?

I'd say keep it..... looks better than the stock ones. And I'm sure those are land rover parts not some modification with parts from another vehicle, hence you should be pretty sorted in terms of originality.

    Td5 hybrid turbo

Hello Dan.. For starters, I think you'd be asking a lot of your engine, especially with you considering running propane through it as well. Stock, the TD5 is quite a tough unit, but be cautious about possible thermal damage as you increase boost and add secondary fuelling. I believe the notion...

    Bone's V8 Disco 2 Build Log

I have to say your attention to detail is something I aspire to... The scratch on the rear glass doesn't look too bad, or is it a case of your OCD having OCD?:) All in all, amazing work on yours and it shows.

    My new Disco 2

Hello Andy, enjoy your disco.... Mine has been around since 2000, and hopefully it wont be going anywhere any time soon - the one vehicle I will never sell. Yours riding a little low in the back - have you got stuff loaded in the back, or air suspension playing up?

    Vacuum Pump Swap

+1 perfectly on point with the explanation given. @Al2O3 with your original build thread going dormant, I had assumed you finally got it all sorted. Sorry to hear you still haven't got to the bottom of the reported issue.

    200tdi oil leak

When you had the cover off to replace the seals, which one of them seemed to be the culprit of the leak? You may have to go back in there to assess where exactly its coming from the traces of oil that would have been left in the timing chest. Regardless, a leak there may result in premature...

    Rear wiper fault

I would hazard a guess and say maybe, just maybe cables within the door may have chaffed to the point where wires for the wiper motor and door lock mechanism may have bridged. Each time you unlock the vehicle and that voltage pulse is sent to the various lock motors in the doors, some of it may...

    Disco 2 4.6L Petrol Rebuild

Just a thought, but could you source another disco from a junkyard, pull the engine, find yourself a good builder and have them machine the deck to accept the top hat liners. You can check out http://www.jandjautowrecking.com/ and look though their inventory for a full vehicle or an engine - if...

    M52B28 auto into Defender

Most import question here is, do you know your way around electrics and electronics, and as such, do you plan on doing the necessary work yourself? Unless you find a donor vehicle you can transfer all cabling and modules from, you'll be looking at a lot of wiring work to get it all running...

Thank God!! Now flee from that "mechanic" before he finds fault on your carburetor that's contributing to excessive diesel knock:rolleyes:

Can I Get a spare wheel kit gor my Land Rover discovery sport.

Unfortunately that's the sad reality with most cars these days with their spare wheel delete. As you have stated that yours being a 7 seater with no space to mount it under the vehicle, you may just have to do with that emergency tyre inflater thingy..... unless you want to bolt a full size to...

    1hd Ft

Not sure, but anything is possible given the time and funds. Those engines are quite pricey, and although they are quite the workhorse, they can be a bit thirsty.
