TD5 white smoke / injector disbalance / running rough

You could try Edd China's idea, he removed each injector and put it in a plastic bottle, then turned the car over to see what the atomisation was like, after about three he found it, it just sprayed a jet, as opposed to nice mist. I can't remember whether he had it refurbed or replaced, but...

What did you do with your Range Rover today

The new light cluster arrived yesterday. I had a right to do getting the old one off, in the process broke the outer lens even more. On close inspection, the condensation had created a little pool in the bottom, which had corroded the chrome, the bulb assembly was badly rusted, I am glad I...

L322 Is the battery to blame and which one should I get?

I bought mine from Tanya, for my RR, 150 amp, £100 delivered, it is a tight fit, but it has been brilliant. The make is Enduro, never heard of them, 5 year guarantee, but it works great, so why pay £200 odd for a Bosch one.

TD5 white smoke / injector disbalance / running rough

I am no expert, it could be a head gasket problem. Have you tried a compression test on each cylinder. As I understand it white smoke indicates coolant in the exhaust gases, which would suggest a gasket problem. Good Luck

What did you do with your Range Rover today

Well, I had a bit of a shock, I had been walking the dog, on passing the RR, I noticed, the rear near side tail light was steamed up. This is a bad sign, on investigation, it turned out to be a crack in the outer casing. I found a replacement from Powerful, this was a disappointment, it was...

    L322 wing mirror

I can only suggest a scrap merchant like Gentle men of Salvage, I got a good rear view mirror off them, worked great. JLR might get you one, at what cost is something else. Good Luck.

What did you do with your Range Rover today

Well, after I fitted the battery ( after a 2 day re-charge) I was doubtful, but lo and behold she sparked into life with a new vigor. Drove for about 60 miles just like a magic carpet again, absolutely great, love this car. Looking forward to taking her to Southampton for a cruise in April.

    Automatic tranmission fluid.

For my RR which has a ZF gearbox, I contacted ZF in Germany, this technical guy sent an email to say, they have never said it was sealed for life He recommended change the ATF every 50k or five years which ever comes first. The GL one I have no idea. It could do with doing, at 95k, if it hasn't...

What did you do with your Range Rover today

I went no where, battery flat, just 6 volts left, noticed the passenger side headlight wiper was not parked. I thought I have seen this fault on here. Went for a search found it, fuse 28, battery on charge as I type, could take a while tho'

    L322 2003 4.4 V8 Petrol. Key fob worn out?

I tried one, I got it cut to the profile of the old key, but the parts wouldn't fit, the little transponder thing was too big. The circuit board was really tight. So, I bought another one from a different supplier, that was even worse. at this point I had spent about £40, with key cutting etc...

    L322 2003 4.4 V8 Petrol. Key fob worn out?

I had a similar problem, in the end I bit the bullet and bought a new key from JLR at a cost of £428 OUCH!, that included programming it to the car, I should think so at that price. The spare parts guy was amazed they still had the info to hand being 19 years old at the time.
