If you get a lot of air in, I've found that slackening off the return line on the back of the pump and letting it push air out there speeds it up a lot. Nip up that union and then do the injectors as you say. I've got 300's to start like that with totally knackered lift pumps.

Seconded. Paid for on a credit card in whole or part? You can make it the card company problem as well. Any service has to be up to acceptable standard and fixing a car is a service.

Id not even try and release them as noted above. Buy new ones, and slap them with shed loads of copperslip for next time they need adjusting!
