I don't know if this is any help but on my sons 1.8 there is a small wire on the top of the starter when that broke and he turned the key all the dash lights would come on but that was it no clicks nothing. I do not know if the td4 is the same set up but it might be worth checking

This is the aux socket ,the socket is just wide enough to fit on to the back center console i used the four little lugs to fit.It had to come out because the kids and grand kids kept catching it when they got in and out of the back ,so as i said i took the middle bit out and fitted it straight...

Fitted an aux socket in the centre console from a Nissan Almeria would you believe :eek: no messing with the wires ,just plugs straight in . And finally got hold of a surround for the single din sat nav and after a bit of alteration at the back , fits so much better . That's one rattle down...

Have you checked the fuel rail wires ? i replaced all my hoses and cleaned the manifold when i first brought mine and it ran like a bag of bolts , then i found out about the fuel pressure harness https://www.landyzone.co.uk/land-rover/fuel-rail-pressure-sensor-harness-change.154473/

For what its worth i have a td4 F1 and i had/have the same prob also i have blanked my EGR but what i have noticed is if i go on a good run my engine does not miss fire ??? it seems if i have been running round town I.E short journeys then that is when the engine is lightly to miss

What is the best way to check the lower engine tie bar mount ? i have a knock and it is intermittent and bloody hard to find but i do have slight vibration so i am hoping it could be that . I do not want to high jack the thread but @Arctic2 i noticed on one of your pics of your tie bar the top...

You can get a cheap reader Elm 327 and a free app for your phone , i have it for my freelander 1 and i know a few others have but i do not know if it would work with a F2 but i am sure some one will know
