Short update, after much buggering about and wire testing ,I have come to the conclusion that the feed wire from fusebox to OBD socket is broken somewhere around the heater. I have now installed a new feed and the socket is now working. 1 problem down and 2 to go. The interior lights are working...

No, not yet. My sons car is coming to me for its pre MOT on Tuesday so I will start stripping out the fusebox and HEVAC then. I think iI am looking for a burnt out wire Its definitely not a fuse. Thanks for asking
Connected Nanocom through computer as advised but cannot connect with either HEVAC or BECM. have sent pm to Marty Uk to see if he is available to look at my BECM. He has a shop IP38 something I think ah well keep looking I suppose Thanks for all the assistance
