    Disco 2 Air-conditioning upgrade

the one in your link is a radiator fan though. I dont think there is space to fit a 16" one at the front. The original is around 10" i believe and I just fitted the 12" one. As I said I dont think there even exists a 10"fan with that kind of output.

    Disco 2 Air-conditioning upgrade

Where did you find the specs for the original fan? The one i have does not produce 2500cfm, its rated at 1687cfm, I was assured that it should be better than the original one :( However considering the design of the original unit compared to quality oem fan I think it should be less than what I...

    Disco 2 Air-conditioning upgrade

yes that should help for sure but not sure I want to 'waste' the space in the rear as i use mine for overlanding, every cm2 in the boot is precious

    Disco 2 Air-conditioning upgrade

well, i took it an aircon guy who attached it to a machine a checked for leaks, not sure what else, told me all looks good. I also have an oversized fan replacing the original one which had seized... basically the biggest spal fan i could fit

    Disco 2 Air-conditioning upgrade

my biggest concern is the ac's performance not the saving. even the wive's fiesta is a lot better, obviously its a newer model and a much smaller car to cool.

    Disco 2 Air-conditioning upgrade

So the air-conditioning in my d2 is really not very good. Might be enough in the cooler regions but in 40degrees+ Summer Malta it wont do. Checked the gas. Changed condenser, fan output seems similar to other landies so i think it is the system it self that is ****. Any ideas on how i can make...

    Disco 2 ACE pump specifications

There is a world of difference in performance between the td5 and the m57 , especially coupled with a better transmission

    Disco 2 ACE pump specifications

what im saying is that it is certainly possible to have an interface between the M57 engine and the various modules of a d2. The only thing that I dont have an answer yet is ACE and I think an electric power steering pump as fitted to some cars should work. I might actually fit it before i do...

    Disco 2 ACE pump specifications

The M57 is a common conversion option. There are custom made circuits to pair the dashboard to the engine ecu and also keep the slabs system working, and even the other functions like the climate control and the cruise control. Apart from the ace, another problem would be the aircondition pump...

    Disco 2 ACE pump specifications

Im planning an M57 engine conversion in my head but would like to keep the ACE. I think the easiest way to do it would be to fit an electric hydraulic pump like fitted to some cars for the powersteering. Anyone knows where I could get the specifications for the stock pump so i can find a...

Disco 2 ACE working but leans a bit too much

So for future reference, the 1/4 inch hoses are good for the actuators as long as we put everything where it should be :D

Disco 2 ACE working but leans a bit too much

luckily the hoses were still marked with colored tape (I had used to supposedly make sure I fit them back in the right order ): Indeed the fix did work, took it out for a spirited drive and it was a totally different car this time, so very happy that it was just a cock-up from my end !

Disco 2 ACE working but leans a bit too much

yeah, it does feel like a boat on a roundabout, no where near as flat as i know it can be. ill give it a go tonight and will let you know how it goes

Disco 2 ACE working but leans a bit too much

if im understanding this diagram correctly my pipes are def the other way round at the front. hope it is just that. worst bit would be that i wont have some "schmuck mechanic" to blame as I did it all myself

Disco 2 ACE working but leans a bit too much

so the bottom port on the valve block in the rear is connected to the port closest to the rear of the car on the actuator, which i think is correct. However if I assume top/bottom front valveblock ports shopuld be connmected in the same way, they are the other way round! might be worth switching...
