1996 RR 4.0 SE hard to stop, pump keeps running

Yes, the pump I purchased came as one unit pump, switch and accumulator already attached. I did swap the accumulator from the purchase pump unit with the accumulator already on the RR to try rule-out a bad accumulator. When that didn't solve the problem I put the accumulator back on the...

1996 RR 4.0 SE hard to stop, pump keeps running

I didn't disconnect or bother the brake pedal switch, I just rolled off the vacuum hose to see if there was a change. I then placed the vacuum hose back on the switch. Why would I need to reset the brake switch?

1996 RR 4.0 SE hard to stop, pump keeps running

Grrr thanks! I took it off the stands to take it for a drive to rest the pedal. When I started the RR I heard a kind of loud shhhhhh when I pressed the brake inside the car. I traced the shhhhh to the brake-pedal switch with the attached vacuum hose from the intake plenum. When I press the...

1996 RR 4.0 SE hard to stop, pump keeps running

1996 RR 4.0 SE hard to stop, pump keeps running

Checked fluid levels and lights, okay. I'm trying to determine what's causing my pump to run. Do you think I still have air in the lines? How can I rule out the accumulator and master brake cylinder? There are no leaks anywhere vacuum or fluid. How do I check the abs pump connector wire? The...
