Im definatly up for a meet, from hants so midlands may be a bit far depending on when it was and notice etc, but anything further South id definatly be interested.

You can get very strong stainless ones used for keeping cables up in event of fire, they are very very strong and dont rust, or wear, available from electrical wholesalers and proberbly auto factors too, always handy to carry aswell.

Iv been told by mot testers that as long as its secure they cant fail it, iv had my mechanic do something similar with metal banding as a temp fix just to get it to pass then sort if properly later, dont think it will be an issue unless your tester is realy looking to fail it for some reason.

Iv always liked the 130's, so versitile. I dont think youl have any issues with the length, i lane almost solely in a long wheelbase pickup with a long rear overhang and never had any issues even on some tricky routes.

Yea have used gpx files a few times, iv got a few programs that wiml open them, think i can see it in maps on phone too. Always up for an adventure so will gladly have a look at them and report back, un-confirmed as in right to drive is un-confirmed?
