Bear in mind that they tested the vehicle in the Mohave Desert when developing it so anything that the Sahara will throw at it will be far less intense - but the main issue will be your daily maintenance regime. That will decide whether it suffers failures on the trip.

Tried it and it did make the blade push through the foam part easier but didn't touch the actual adhesive. I think I will soak them in Wd40 and then get a blade scraper and remove as much as I can - anything that's left will be stuck on so tight that the new tape should stick to it OK.

Bypass the modulator. As I understand it, the modulator reduces the air pressure to the wastegate to allow overboost. So if you bypass it then the wastegate sees the full manifold pressure and operates immediately it gets to operating pressure.
