Well. I picked her up this evening. 3k sealed the deal. Drove back 30 miles. Was amazing. Everything great for now!

End up drilling through the fitting as it had completely rounded off. End came off so was able to take gear out for wiper. Now ready for new motor and wiper kit.

Thanks. The second one I viewed had same but only on drivers side. There is rust starting to bubble paint on top of windscreen so that could be it?

Short update. The guy hasn’t been able to sell. has reduced the price from £3900 to £3250 dropping a bit each week. I am tempted I must say although the wet driver’s floor is a worry. The other one I saw had wet floors throughout so I guess this is progress!

worth checking John Craddock’s eBay shop as they are slightly cheaper than their website and give free delivery no matter what the price of the order. It’s not all parts but a good selection. Does slightly irk me that they can’t offer same facilities on their own site when it presumably comes...

I have today swapped my steering wheel as the one previously was bent at the mount and was catching on the cowl. No idea how you bend a steering wheel that way! But now fixed.

I expect neglect as I asked him when timing belt was changed and he said he didn’t think it had been. He’s owned it for 12 years!

I might if I wasn’t intending to use it immediately for a daily runner. Don’t want it sat off road for a while. and I would prefer to spend some of that on a better one (if they exist)
