    Hub centric wheel spacer problem

If you have a 30mm offset wheel, or you use a 30 mm spacer, the stress on the wheel bearing is the same. But that's not what I'm concerned about.

    Hub centric wheel spacer problem

Apologies if this has been covered, I have searched the subject. I have just started to fit a new set of hub centric spacers with my boost alloys, and have found there is virtually no support from the spacer to the wheel. This is due to the cut outs for the hub nuts, I have decided to remove...

I think if I went to look at this, I would also end up buying it. Looks like a really nice example

    Running 300tdi without a turbo

pressure in this pipe builds up as the turbo spins up and operates a diaphragm to increase the fuel dose. As your binning the turbo, this part of the fuel pump is redundant. I would blank it at the pump but it doesn't really matter. To make life easy, you can still increase the set fuel dose by...

Yes that's a very good point, but this will all be evident in oil condition anyway.

    Other service intervals

Every 5000 miles which is about 6 months for me. If I did 5000 miles in 2 years I would service it every 2 years. When I check my oil I pay close attention to the colour viscosity and smell. I know that the engine oil in my defender is getting past its best at 5k miles, regardless of what my...

Electric issues + clueless girl. Help!

I think you need to be a bit careful with code readers. When you have issues such as earth faults etc you will get all sorts of rogue codes. If I have electrical faults I rely on checking the basics and common sense. My multimeter comes out way before my code reader, Unfortunately a lot of...

Electric issues + clueless girl. Help!

I think you may be on to something with the fact that your radio is losing its memory. Do your other Elec faults coincide with your radio faults. Check your earths, or even run new or additional ones. Also make sure your garage are aware of this.

    2 questions

I recently done this to to my 110 csw. It's not to bad a job. I removed the roof and side panels in one. To remove the tub I cut through the inner sill between the b and c pillars ( rotten anyway) and lifted off. The rest is just unbolting and drilling out pop rivets.

Anyone got a boost gauge on their 300Tdi?

The characteristics of my 300 tdi engine are exactly the same as any other turbo charged engined car I have driven. As you accelerate the turbo starts to spin up, you feel a noticeable increase in power, then at your discretion you change gear. A boost gauge is a handy bit of kit to set up a...

    Possessed Windscreen Wipers

I think you will find the shorter sweep on a dry windscreen, is due to the increase in friction of the wiper blades on the screen hiding the backlash in the system. tottot did you just replace the wheel boxes and cable to cure you problems ?
