If you can freely operate the wipers with the cable by hand then it’s probably the motor. There is a thread and lock nut on the end of the motor that you can adjust, to remove backlash. Check this isn’t over tight.

Pick a nice hot week in the summer. Give it a good clean / pressure wash. Waxoyl it ( i use a compressor and parafin gun). After doing it thoroughly the first time, I now give it a quick clean and waxoyl every summer.

Do it once the engines in. Access is fine with r radiator out. As kev12 said tightening the new pull up correctly will be an issue
