My 2004 RR 3.0 TD6 Makes similar clicking noises as soon as the FB2. fires up not as loud as that D3 in the video clip, and certainly no smoke. I often set the timer on mine and it fires up in the garage no smoke at all, but a nice warm car.

Thanks saint. Really want to go for one just a hard decision weather to go for a 4.4 V8 or a TDV6, decisions. Gearbox failure frightening on the diesel, but I'm hearing the petrol suffers to. And this water ingress in the arse end, hmmmmm worrying.

Avoid, and take hippos advice. You get what you pay for. Wether it's a v8 or a diesel your running think of the long term effects on your engine.

I did try the velcro method but mine failed lol, still we both have peace now. :)
