How have you broken 2? are you working it very hard??? If it were me I would take out the diff.....to look for metal fragments....you just push the broken end into the diff casing with a brush pole then.

Keep advancing till it pinks underload in top under 30 mph....or going uphill....engine starting to labour....once you get it pinking....retard a fraction till it stops pinking....thats it.

If its only localized....brazing.....

I use the 90/110 type....good size....not to big....good convex coverage....fit on the top door hinge.....will fit on std hinge with a bit of fettling with a file.....never go out of adjustment. IMHO....fitting bigger than req mirrors cause a big blind spot in your 45deg forward vision.

A RR axle is quite a bit wider in track than a Series.....with std wheel the would protrude outside the body line.....and of course the maybe evidence were the RR fitting have been cut of the axle.

Suspect your new lift pump....a one way valve may have fell out or not seated.

I agree.....get something more suitable for long drives....if you must....I would look for an old Disco 200 and fit it minus the turbo....thats whats in my S3.

No Kiwi.....not talking about the in the U bolt mounting plate hole....you cant see this one when the axle is sat on the spring. Much more important.....on the top side of all of the springs is a round bolt head.....this round head has to sit inside a lug or hole on the flat mounting face on...

Are the axles located on the protrusion on the springs correctly.....GME springs are good.....something is very wrong.

What do you mean paras wont help....of course they do.....multi leaf are basicaly a solid limp of steel....bar stripping and greasing each leaf ever few months the are terrible. Paras should not make it ride high than std.....if it does they are a poor design.....a good British set like...

It will still leak with gen seals.....just a very poor idea.

TBH....if the heater plugs are ok....and the batt and starter motor are good it will start easy....I have had many years on 2.25d Landover use in cold weather. My tip....push in the engine stop....dont use any heat....fully throttle.....crank the engine over for 5 seconds. Stop....give it 10...

Oooo a screw driver will damage the rim edge and possible the tyres bead.....not good.

Think you will find thats were Landrover fitted them back in the day....good enough for Landrover....good enough for me.
