Looking at The Landrover workshop manual says use tool 60000 to remove the arm. I suppose they must be right.

No, that one is on the front. You cant miss the bolt. cheers Peter

As the title says. I have removed the nut and washer. part no 595123 Using a 3 leg puller applied a lot of pressure with gentle heat but still it will not move. Tapped it all round under pressure. nothing absolutely solid. Apart from getting the angle grinder on it. has anyone any suggestions...

Thanks for the reply . i have no trouble with the welding it is the quality of the part I am concerned with. Although anything would be better than the heap of rust at the bottom of it . If some has personal experience of a product that would help. cheers peter

Hi all, I need to know a nut size. The thread is on a stud. part number 217977 in the series 3 book. It fits in the rear of the transfer box and holds the transmission brake plate. I just want the outer thread size so I can get a nut on them. I have searched my box of surplus but no joy. Thanks...

Hi, thanks for the input. The cap seems to be ok now, I must have had it on a bit wonky. However, we have the engine running and its seems to run evenly. We put the radiator back on filled with water, it took a while to pump the petrol around from a plastic bottle but it ran in the end...

Hi The cap and rotor are the correct ones. Hardly any side movement on the shaft. Engine was running fne until it was pulled out for a chassis change. It mighy bem y eyesihtg.

Hi folks, We fitted new parts all seemed ok turned the engine over, oil light went out did not fire but noticed the distributor cap was moving.... took it off , checked rotor arm was securely in , refitted and had another go. Cap still moving. is this a sign of a knackered distributor? cheers Peter
