    Another full service then did a 269 mile round trip average mpg 25.3. I’ll take that and she’s running well. LOF clutch in it is now 22 months old and hasn’t missed a beat pulling the tin tent over the last 12 months.

    Best thing I ever did was remove the EGR in the old TD4 A new lease of life into the engine, I've actually kept the old one ad plan to clean it up at some point to see how it operated My search for a FL2 continues still at this time

    D3 alternator started to go, luckily I had a spare DENSO sat on the parts shelf took me an hour and a bit to swap it over normal service resumes now

    Front air valve block replacement today on the D3, only changed it two years ago as well. Also did the seals on the steering rack pipes as it had started to leak. Healthy D3 again

    Not sure if anyone has mentioned above but me personally would concentrate on the mechanical side of things to ensure they are all in good order? The forum is a wealth of knowledge and help from the kind gents that frequent here Good luck!

    Had the same issue with mine couple of years ago, if I can get hold of the spanner man I'll ask him what he did to resolve it Sounds like there is a blockage somewhere as above?

    What have you done to your Freelander today

    Sold the TD4 for more than what I was asking ( made an offer I couldn't refuse ) , off to live in Crewe and pull a tin tent around the country. Its well prepped for them anyway and will serve them proud. I'll miss the TD4 for sure
