I can do it on my drive in a day. Basic tools and a gearbox lift. That’s putting a new box in with all the bits swapped over too. Sounds like they’re trying to price themselves out of a job. Try getting in touch with RCM 4x4 if you’re near York.

Could perhaps tag onto the back of a Land Rover show. Have a dedicated P38 stand, BBQ's, bit of an auto jumble etc.

Somewhere in the midlands would be best. Obviously best to wait till normality has resumed somewhat.

Been saying for a while that there needs to be a P38 meeting at some point. Try and get as many together as possible.

I was told these don't include absolutely everything. I've a spare block to rebuild so can do a straight swap.

Looking to purchase an intact clutch release fork and arm for my other P38. Mine has developed a rather nice crack. Also interested in other spares for manuals to keep my two running. Many thanks

Speaking of valve block rebuilds, is there a comprehensive kit that people recommend please? Got a sneaky feeling mines due a rebuild.

turns out it was just a dodgy switch, all sorted now though.
