HELP!....LT95 gearbox stuck between Reverse and neutral

James....Am I right in thinking that in your picture with the screwdriver sticking in the back of the selector assembly, 4th gear is selected?.....I am in the top of the box now and the reverse selector shaft will select reverse but wont move back to align with the other two forks to engage...

HELP!....LT95 gearbox stuck between Reverse and neutral

James. Do you have any links to what's in the top of the LT95 box. I have searched online and there's very little out there. I just need to see the setup on the selector shaft so I know what I'm dealing with?.....Cheers for any help.

HELP!....LT95 gearbox stuck between Reverse and neutral

Hi all. Drove my classic forward out of the shed today to strip out carpets and sound proofing in the driver footwell to prep it for welding. I parked it on a grassy slope which is pointing downwards and pulled up the handbrake and selected reverse as an added precaution. Done the footwell...

    Classic door seals

Thanks guys....Will check Rimmer bros later. Paddocks probably have them but of course, they couldn't be arsed creating a website that enables you to find them :(

    Classic door seals

Anyone know the part number for front door sealing rubber or know where I could get some. My old one has shrunk due to being left unattached for a long time and wont go anywhere near fitting the door opening. Thanks in anticipation.

    Classic Steel

Yes I agree. And we all know that L/R were never ones for rust proofing in that era. I do believe that steel quality varies from time to time and as such, some poorer grade steels will corrode faster than others. Plastic coatings accelerated the problem as far as I can tell as the plastic lifts...

    Classic Steel

We know they all rot but, which model year were built with the best quality steel, and are less prone to the dreaded tin worm.....I happen to think it was early 80's from the ones I've seen......opinions please?

    Classic chassis welding

Thanks guys.....I was considering the donor chassis option but would probably prefer to swap over rather than cut and shut.....Had a good look around it today and it seems repairable with some very creative use of the welder and plates....hmmmm. Decision time.

2.5 M51 poor starting hot or cold

Just a quick update re. glowplugs....Got my NGK's today and bench tested them before fitting. They take 10 seconds to begin to glow at the tip(same time it takes for the britpart ones) so,a waste of £35 quid there. I fitted them and still need 20 seconds of heat to fire it up.....FIP timing next :(

    Classic question

Thanks....I was just planning for failure of my LT95 and was pondering whether a later LT77 or R380 might be a direct swap out if it were to happen. I was just thinking that it would be a perfect time for the addition of a 5th gear :)

    Classic question

Hi all.....I was just wondering if all V8 gearboxes are interchangeable. ie, LT95, LT85, LT77 and R380. Am I right in thinking that the bellhousings would have the same bolt patterns and the input shafts will be the same length and have the same splines? Thank you.
