OK had the door card off, got behind the waterproof membrane and to the back of the handle. The rod is connected to the back of the handle and connects down to the lock. The issue is still there. However, when I closed the door from inside and pushed the rod down the door opened. But still...

Good evening all, I am going to attempt to remove my door card, so I can try and see why my bloody door won't open from the outside? I have been told my handle rod may have come off. Question is how difficult is it to remove the card and anything I need to look out for? Thanks in anticipation Jay

Hopefully I can get away with it too. Still want to fix it though. Just need a nice dry day. Fingers crossed.

Thought against it. Looks pretty but its chilly.. Treated the bumpers and mud flaps. Looks like it should now. Not all two tone n white.

Yes the key and fob works but the door still won't open from outside??? Looks like I'm opening it up haha

Hello all. Recently bought my first 51 plate freelander. My drivers side rear passenger door handle will not operate from the outside but will on the inside. Driving me mental. Anyone know a fix??? Thanks in advance. Jay

Freelander Td4 ES 2.0l diesel on a 51 plate. Bought last weekend and love it. Couple of jobs to do, passenger electric window, sunroof and the drivers side rear door won't open from the outside. Opens from inside so that's another thing to look at???
