I would attend to it ( replace the cooler and or the hose) as soon as possable........if the hose parts company with the cooler whilst driving, you may not notice untill major damage has been done

Check fuse 13 ( under the bonnet) in fact check all fuses in the car too

Your Lotus would be the most reliable vehicle you own if you buy a Disco 3.........keep looking for a Defender/series3 and dont forget the razor blades for when it all goes t1ts up :rolleyes:

Replace the cap as Kermit said , check the thermostat is opening and the radiator isn't blocked ........be prepared for a blown headgasket

I would. avoid the Sport ......its V6 diesel engine has issues ........I'd go for a V8 diesel full fat Range Rover , all Range Rovers are complex vehicles and age does them no favours , but the design of the Sport ( in my opinion) exacerbates its issues
