replaced my steering drop arm, fitted a new steering damper and panhard rod, removed my knackered rear diff

i bought one those before xmas, i have connected it to the w terminal and the gauge reads 6000 rpm on tickover, anyone had the same problem or do i have a faulty gauge?

i wouldnt risk going yet as aparrently police will take ya motor if ya caught venturing anywere off the lane that runs through it, i drove down the lane a few weeks ago and there wasnt a 4x4 or bike in sight
