Perhaps British steel isn't what it used to be either , the quality of a lot of things now doesn't seem to be as good as it used to be.

Tata also has plants in India and other places although they have plants in the UK doesn't mean they use it from here , we've been making steel in the UK for years but unfortunately like many other things the majority is imported because its cheaper. Something wrong somewhere .

The quality of steel in general is s##t I'm a fabricator and been at it for 30 years making various things and the quality has gone down hill cheap foreign rubbish.

Have you looked behind the panel in the tub on the drivers side as the wiring comes along the chassis up into drivers side of tub then offside wiring and trailer wiring comes out and across . cheers Ian

Glad you enjoyed the read bankz5152 that guide on how to is very good still would like a go myself , but on that 200tdi head I've got there were some ripples in the cast inside were the valve sits and not sure if it's safe to smooth them out or not .

Right all boost ring fitted but will come to that later, sp00k can move actuator put mole grips on the arm at the turbo can move it with my thumb on the grips I'm guessing that its not stiff enough also the black rubber pipe from the actuator to the intake looks perished so think a rebuild might...

Will try tomorrow but I could move it at some point and it seemed a bit easy as I'd read in the tuning guides I'd read that they are very stiff but don't know whether it was before I shortened the rod.
