    Air intake hose

Go to a hydraulics shop and get a pipe the right size be fraction of cost pirtek are pretty good for all things pipey not sure if could get size but could also remove the drain since on a raised intake it should be blocked or the raise is pointless

    Grease your UJs

Assuming it's the same as my D2 front prop 1 grease able uj at front prop with no grease point but a hole (just needs a nipple) and then a double cardan joint with a center bearing it's easy to swap them. If your vice is big enough you can do with an over and undersized socket to press out if...

    Grease your UJs

Mine didn't either the origional factory spec ones don't have them. I swapped mine for grease able ones glad I did both as the "okay" one was also cracked. The cardan joint is a bastard but doable. I didn't change the center bearing it was okay the gasket was slightly perished but I can't see a...

1987 LR 90 Rebuild. Future licensing problem?

That's good I was lead to believe any spec away from the standard is less points. I.e 2 inch kit. I think I'd get away with it on points system saying it's mostly standard parts but newer Same for the snotty. They don't check into things like that on the off chance anyway

1987 LR 90 Rebuild. Future licensing problem?

Yes the rear sections differ slightly I believe you can add the brackets onto an older chassis for the rear tank; some have both front and rear tanks for long hauls I know some people who use Richards for 200tdi have had front tanks and the fixings for rear tank when built. I'd take the rear...

1987 LR 90 Rebuild. Future licensing problem?

I've rebuilt my 90 pretty similar to yours. Went from a v8 to a 300tdi though, new chassis and basically whole new body. Tdci bulkhead and td5 body. Rear tank. I think chassis wise you're safe on points as it's a new for old replacement. Not a modification. Like if I replaced my suspension be...

    Disco 2 Double cardan joint

After changing my uj's today I was looking at the prop and thinking why does the D2 need a double cardan joint? My 90 has a steeper angle and just single uj joints? I can't see why it needs it!

    Best quality replacement lights

159? The one I'm watching is 180 can you link me? Is it the proper relay? One of the cheaper ones makes your trailer light flash with the indicators so I've been told I have a week off next week, itching to get some done on fender but I'm under orders I have to finish the house first D: just...

    Grease your UJs

This is a good point, my disco started the whine of a dry uj other day; was too old and didn't have a grease nipple on it, was gana buy a new one, week later the clonk of doom appeared and the uj bearings had shattered so now I'm stuck till part arrives tomorrow haha. Should have ordered sooner

    Repairing some rusty spots

I'd imagine it would be good, never thought of that use, but we use it at work and come to some outdoor switchgear and it's still sticky from like 15 years ago. The rocol stuff is decent. We also use the tin version stuff on the bottom of plates that get condensation too but it'd be harder to...

    Best quality replacement lights

Yes if you search on ebay the set comes up, even has the proper relay for led lights. Good price at 180 imo. Never searched how much replacement normal fittings cost but I'd say for how much better they are and not having to worry about bulbs worth it. The clear ones look really good too

    Best quality replacement lights

I'm going to buy the rdx nas led's 180 quid and still need headlights but they're better look crisp and probably never have to worry about changing or them blowing. Got some 7" led headlights already which are million times better than halogens imo. See alot better at night white crisp light...
