I would look at scrap yards first. If you buy new, it's likely to cost you serious money

    U-Pol Raptor waterproof, sound deadening

I'm thinking about borrowing a garage or shed and going the spray route. I have a fellow close by who has sprayed for me in the past and it might be a better outcome if I paid him a few bob to do the job. Otherwise, I need to hire a compressor, find the shed and, on top of that, I haven't any...

    U-Pol Raptor waterproof, sound deadening

I watched a utube video last night and the final Raptor finish looked like very rough black sand paper. Incredibly strong and I suspected a nightmare to clean and impossible to remove.

    Aaron's 90 rebuild round 4

Good morning Aaron, I'm enjoying your thread and looking forward to updates. I noticed that you asked about the Raptor paint products and I posted a similar question yesterday. I am considering it for my leaking roof, which is in fairly good condition, if you don't mind the cold shower from...

Defender 90 TD5 - Strange Whooshing noise when heavy acceleration - help pls

You say that the high performance intercooler is brand new. Is there any way that there could be some form of wrapping material which has entered the unit? And, what have the supplies of the intercooler said?

    blasting aluminium panels?

I met a fellow who had decided to take all of the paint of his Defender 90 and had blasted the paint off. He hadn't realised what a mess it made to the alloy, which became pitted and looked awful. You can use different types of material to use in the process and, I understand that walnut...

Info required on suspect breather pipe.

They sound very good, but for that sort of cash, they should be! I'm just refurbishing the front of my Td5 90. I'm fitting a new Puma style bonnet, colour matching the front grill plate, fitting a new grill and wondering where I am going to fit two short LCD floods and a single 12" spot/flood...

Hello coombsey67. I'm not able to answer your question, and for that I apologise ;). However, I like the look of your vehicle and noticed that you have, what look to be LED headlights. I'm considering upgrading my own for the second time and would like to know if you would recommend the ones...

    I've done it again

Welcome to the land of Loonyrovers. I'm surprised, that you are surprised, that a White and Blue Range Rover with red stripes and a blue flashing light on the roof is ex police  Surely the likely hood is that an ex police vehicle will have an excellent service record o_O. Once you get...

    TD5 90 roof lining fixings

Good morning Justin. The problem with buying for your refurbishment is exactly that. Matching the years of vehicle to components. I'm sure that you will be able to come up with an ingenious way to make the two fit together well. :D Good luck and keep us all up to speed

    Defender roof colour - advice

My nice ESB (National electricity company) yellow defender is also extremely well known to the Irish constabulary. Fortunately, they have never stopped me. I'm assuming that they believe that anyone driving an ESB vehicle will be fully road legal :p:cool:
