    Disco 2 TD5 Landmark 2004 - hi-line system - aftermarket stereo rubbish radio reception

That diagram could be awesome, however it looks like the forum has scaled down the picture and the text labels are blurry - I'm going to PM you my email would you mind sending the file directly?

    Disco 2 TD5 Landmark 2004 - hi-line system - aftermarket stereo rubbish radio reception

Hi, I've recently acquired a 2004 TD5 Landmark with the Hi-Line system, and the cassette head unit needed a code, so I yoinked it out, and put in an aftermarket noisemaker. I've got two problems with that unit, one is that it's only making noise out the front left door, the other is the utterly...

TD5 Facelift - changing front fog light bulbs - nearside is boxed in by screenwash tank

Cheers folks, I wondered was I losing my mind when I thought "I'm going to have to remove the lamp to fit the bulb" - but that diagram showing where the screws are hidden is golden information. Thank you very much :vb-tup:

Disco 2 TD5 Facelift headlights, anyone put LEDs in there, and what kit works?

Those look awesome! That was an excellent write up, thanks for taking the time to write that. It's given me food for thought, I fitted an eBay xenon kit to one of our other cars, and it has weird lights, it will pick up reflectors like road signs and cats eyes for miles away, but there's a lot...

TD5 Facelift - changing front fog light bulbs - nearside is boxed in by screenwash tank

I was going to put yellow bulbs in the foglights of my Facelift TD5, but the left front fog light bulb seems boxed in by the screenwash tank, how the hell do you get that bulb out? The right hand one is a piece of cake, but the left one? Any tips?

Disco 2 Has anyone used a TD5 with the M&D kit for an MT82

I can see me having to go and have a prowl under a puma defender for sale to answer this question...

Disco 2 Has anyone used a TD5 with the M&D kit for an MT82

Hi, Has anyone actually done the MT82 conversion on a Discovery TD5? What were the Gotchas and what went easier than expected? The reason I ask is that my recently acquired TD5 has a rather crunchy gearbox, so I'm toying with two options, one is a nice R380, the other, baring in mind I plan on...

Disco 2 TD5 Facelift headlights, anyone put LEDs in there, and what kit works?

Yo!!! I've recently acquired a 2004 TD5 landmark, and love the headlights, great pattern, but I don't like the halogen yellow, so I was wondering about treating it to a set of LEDs instead blue-coated halogens to give it a whiter appearance. So I was wondering if anyone had tried this and found...

Freelander 1 TD4 engine - I found someone making billet aluminium coolant elbows

Very first sentence on this thread was "Not one for the Thrift brigade, please don't post by saying you can get a plastic one off eBay for a tenth of the price of this part." I know it makes no economical sense, I opened the thread with that exact sentiment, and here we foocking are, debating...

P38A I found someone making a billet ali coolant elbow for the M57

[Cross-posting this from a similar thread on the Freelander Sub-forum where it could apply to their "TD4" M47 engine] Not one for the Thrift brigade, please don't post by saying you can get a plastic one off eBay for a tenth of the price of this part. This is a piece of exquisite engineering...

Freelander 1 TD4 engine - I found someone making billet aluminium coolant elbows

Not one for the Thrift brigade, please don't post by saying you can get a plastic one off eBay for a tenth of the price of this part. This is a piece of exquisite engineering, CNC machined in Yorkshire, from an aluminium billet with ferrules welded on for sensors etc. It's beautifully made, and...

    Freelander 2 (LR2) 2.2 TD4 Coolant loss

Have you thought about doping your coolant with UV dye to make the leak glow? £16 on eBay for a kit with a bottle of dye and a UV torch from Ring (so it's a decent make) and should make it easy to find the leak https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/283380903775

What have you done to your Freelander today

@Alibro, I'm not meaning to belittle Nodge's suggestion, but looking at that sensor kit, it's "probe" is little more than two pin male dupont connector, typically used in Arduino and other hobby electronics, when the leaking water hits and links the two pins, it creates the circuit and triggers...

What have you done to your Freelander today

Does that include VAT? Currently, my Shell Fleet fuel card Diesel price is 128.57ppl excluding VAT, which tips it at 154.28ppl with vat, compared to 174.9ppl at my local shell. However, there were many weeks during the summer when the fuel card was more expensive by the time you added the VAT.

    Freelander 1 Freelander EV

Keep it Simple Stupid. :D I just need to ensure I pick a cell nearer the 0V end than 400V end. It won't matter which cell you tap into, the potential difference is across that cell. For the power steering; yes, it works, but it's throwing away a lot of amp-hours on a motor that...

    Freelander 1 Freelander EV

If the gauge needs a variance in resistance, it's probably looking for a voltage drop, I'd wager you could create an analogue voltage for the signal line by having a microcontroller such as an arduino pulsing with varying duty cycle into a capacitor which drains via a resistor to a wire that...
