Just an update put all back together noise still there its a bearing of some sort. Does anyone know what washer goes on the banjo oil feed pipe please? I would upload the noise but this site does not allow me to.

Thanks Mark, had a look last night, the turbo has two shank bolts, so I don't think the nuts were done up to the shank which may well be my noise, annoyingly can't work on the car until Friday when I am off from work.

Sorry to hear that last thing you needed was COVID, hope you are recovering well and wish you a speedy recovery!! I checked the gaskets they are all ok, I am currently putting it all back together, is there a tightening sequence for the manifold?

Oh blimey mate sometimes its either simple or complex. Its got new gaskets on there, just putting it all back together. How are you recovering from your operation by the way?

Thanks Mark let's hope it's not that. Took turbo and manifold apart and started to reassemble it. How tight do the spring nuts need to be where exhaust connects to turbo as I cannot get a torque wrench in there?

Sorry for being stupid does this spin even when clutch is down?

A silly question, could it be a manual gearbox issue? The noise was still there when clutch was down and disengaged just a long shot.

Yeah the gasket is about 3 months old, bolts were done up to torque.

Thanks all. I took the turbo off and looked fine in good nick. The supply is fine as I found out when run engine with feed undone and it shout out. Only thing could be were the exhaust spring nuts where loose. Not sure how tight they need to be as near impossible to get a torque wrench in...

Just the run with car without the turbo and exhaust manifold and whilst naturally loud noise the squealing went so can only assume turbo is at fault. Vanes seem OK not moving around.

Hi, Was driving home last night and when accelerating/engine under load i get a loud squel noise and dies down when not under load. No smoke when accelerating, runs and drives fine. Looked at all pipe and no noticeable splits. Run engine inlet hose off exhaust on still makes noise when revved...

M6 x 20mm when I done mine recently. 8.8 Tensile strength, 100 pack from screwfix £2.60.

My DSE is at 180,000 miles, new chains/sprockets/head and FIP required but going ok at mo.

Just an update. My locking wheel nut arrived and fitted. So if anyone loses their key, look on the face of the locking wheel nut there is a letter, in this case A, this is the code relevant to locking wheel nut and RimmerBros do best prices and range from A to C and very quick delivery.
